Cheugy: San Francisco's Good (“but kind of Chuegy”) Rock Power Trio
Cheugy band playing at the San Fransisco Knockout Bar

San Francisco, California – In the city that nurtured bands in the likes of Metallica and Green Day, a rock band is loudly making waves and turning over bar stools. Cheugy, made-up of Chris Welch (bass guitar), Charlie Castillo (drums), and Julio di Mama (guitar and vocals), created a musical rock force that’s only true to rock ‘n roll.

Cheugy’s sound can be described as a high-octane blend of grunge, hard rock, and new metal, creating a unique sonic experience that’s nostalgic while remaining innovative. Their music is defined by Julio’s raw, emotive vocals, Chris’s driving bass lines, and Charlie’s pulsating drums.

Their live shows are a testament to their energy and chemistry. Julio’s stage presence draws in the crowd and Chris and Charlie’s tight section carries their rhythm very well. Cheugy’s setlists are usually a mix of original songs and reimagined fun covers from their favorite bands, showcasing their versatility and raw talent.

If you’re a fan of bands like Foo Fighters, Rage Against the Machine, and Soundgarden, you won’t want to miss out on Cheugy’s debut album, Good Friend.

Catch them playing around town and experience the heart pounding sound of San Francisco’s Cheugy.
